1. Who we are
YellowLadoo (“we”, “us”) operates a matrimony platform for the Meena community. Contact: privacy@yellowladoo.com
2. Data we collect
- Account: name, email, mobile, password (hashed), matrimony ID
- Profile: date of birth, gender, religion, caste, location, education, occupation, photos, horoscope, partner preferences
- Verification: OTP mobile verification; optional Aadhaar e-KYC (we store only a secure hash and last 4 digits — never full Aadhaar)
- Activity: interests, messages, profile views, payments, device push tokens
- Technical: app version, analytics events, IP address at signup (consent log)
3. Why we use your data
- Create and manage your matrimony profile
- Match you with compatible profiles and enable chat
- Send transactional alerts (interest, match, message, OTP)
- Process membership payments via PayU
- Marketing emails/WhatsApp only with your opt-in
- Safety: block, report, and investigate abuse
4. Legal basis (India DPDP Act 2023)
We process personal data based on your consent at registration, contract (providing the service you signed up for), and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, platform safety).
5. Who we share with
- Other members — only what your privacy settings allow (photos, contact after mutual interest)
- Service providers: hosting, SMS/OTP, email, WhatsApp API, payment gateways, push (OneSignal/Firebase), Aadhaar KYC partner (Surepass)
- Authorities — when required by law or court order
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Your rights
- Access / download — App → Account → Privacy Center → Download my data
- Correction — Edit profile in the app
- Delete account — App → Privacy Center → Delete account (permanent)
- Withdraw marketing consent — Notifications → Marketing opt-out
- Grievance — Email privacy@yellowladoo.com (response within 15 days)
7. Retention
Active account data is kept while you use the service. Deleted accounts are erased within 30 days except payment records retained as required by tax law (up to 8 years).
8. Security
HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, secure token storage on mobile, Aadhaar hashing, access controls on admin systems.
9. Children
YellowLadoo is for users 18 years and older only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after notice means acceptance.
